Strategic Plan for Academic Programming - Listening Sessions

Sent on behalf of Dr. Neva Specht, Senior Vice Provost of Faculty Policies and Development, and Dr. Ashley Colquitt, Associate Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School.

Dear App State Faculty and Staff,

As Provost Norris communicated on Sept. 19, the Office of the Provost is launching an effort to create a Strategic Plan for Academic Programming for the university.

To ensure that the Strategic Plan for Academic Programming reflects a broad range of perspectives across our campuses, we invite you to participate in listening sessions for employees in the coming weeks. These in-person sessions will allow our community members to share thoughts for the new plan in general, as well as ideas for specific academic programs that will distinguish App State in the years ahead.

While each of the sessions has a designated topic, all of the sessions are intentionally transdisciplinary so that faculty and staff from across the university can think creatively and collaboratively about the types of programs, learning experiences and skills development our students will need in the future. You are welcome to attend any of the sessions that fit your schedules to share specific thoughts on the designated topic or broader perspectives on future academic programs.
