Dear App State Faculty and Staff,
As Provost Norris communicated on Sept. 7, the Office of Research recently completed the university’s first Strategic Plan for Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities. The plan was developed through an inclusive, iterative process that reflects the diverse perspectives of the App State Community.
The Strategic Plan for Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities webpage presents the new plan and the process we used to develop it. In the coming weeks, an implementation committee will share our approach to launch the plan this fall. Initial steps will engage the community in a variety of activities designed to identify research strengths and assets and explore opportunities.
I sincerely appreciate the steering committee members and working group members who led the effort to develop the plan, as well as all the contributors who helped them. And I look forward to collaborating with the university community as we start to bring the plan to life this fall — your active participation will be key to our success!
