Vivian Shipley, Professor of Creative Writing at Southern Connecticut State University, is the recipient of the 2015 Hackney Literary Award for Poetry. Her tenth book, Perennial, was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and was a 2016-17 Paterson Poetry Prize Finalist.
