Shown here are the general learning goals of the program broken down into specific student learning outcomes (SLOs). These SLOs represent what a student should be able to do as a result of successfully completing this program. Student performance on these outcomes are routinely assessed by program faculty as a way of informing programmatic improvement efforts.

Goal Outcome

5. Employ the goals, values, and purposes of arts education within a diverse community and society.

  • Students will apply theatre arts and drama as tools for school, community outreach and engagement.
  • Students will identify and utilize professional resources and organizations.
  • Students will investigate and model ethical practices in production choices and play selection.
  • Students will practice leadership and advocacy for theatre arts in an effective and professionally responsible manner.
  • Students will practice, network, and learn more about the world of theatre to develop as theatre artists.
