Student learning outcomes: Community and Regional Planning (BS)
Shown here are the general learning goals of the program broken down into specific student learning outcomes (SLOs). These SLOs represent what a student should be able to do as a result of successfully completing this program. Student performance on these outcomes are routinely assessed by program faculty as a way of informing programmatic improvement efforts.
Become proficient with the techniques used for communication among stakeholders for efficient and effective public dialog, and to be able to effectively communicate concepts and analytical findings to audiences of various backgrounds and technical competencies.
Students will understand the complex relationships among society, the built environment and the natural environment.
Understand and use the tools of planning to analyze and navigate the world of planning, to include the qualitative and quantitative methods used to collect, analyze and synthesize the many facets of planning
